Once Human is a free-to-play open-world survival action game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players must explore a dangerous environment, gather resources, craft equipment, build shelters, and fight against mysterious creatures and other threats.
The game begins with your character waking up in a mysterious scientific facility with no memory of what happened. As you explore the surrounding world, you gradually uncover the events behind the apocalypse and encounter strange creatures and hostile enemies.
Combat plays an important role, with firearms and other weapons available for fighting enemies. You can collect and craft different equipment as you progress, while resources gathered from the environment can be used to create tools and other useful items.
Survival also depends on exploration and crafting. Mine minerals, chop wood, collect materials, and use workbenches to create equipment and build structures. You can construct shelters and other facilities while exploring the open world.
The game starts with a more structured introduction before opening up into a larger environment with greater freedom to explore and complete activities. Once Human supports solo play, although an Internet connection is required.
